What are the Anticipated Routes for the Bike Ride?

The Ride for Food leaves from and returns to the Noble and Greenough School in Dedham. Please click on your route of choice to download the cue sheet and visualize the map from Ride with GPS.

What is the Anticipated Schedule for Event Day?

7:30 - Attendees begin arriving for registration and check in
7:45 - Breakfast foods, coffee, snacks on hand
           Bike mechanics on hand
           DJ starts spinning
8:15 - Check in closes for 50 mile “Normal” riders (12-14 mph)
8:30 - Normal 50 departs
8:30 - Registration for 50 mile “Strong” opens
9:00 - 25 mile registration opens
9:15 - 50 mile “strong” riders depart
9:45 - 25 mile riders depart
9:45 - Registration opens for 5K walkers
10:00 on - Walkers depart when ready
11:00 - Band begins
11:30 - Lunch begins
             BBQ, food truck, beer, beverages and more
1:30 - Event concludes

Is there a Registration Fee to Participate?

Yes, there is a registration fee.

  1. Ride for Food (1-day Bike Ride): registration fee is $85;
  2. 5K Walk (1-day Walk): registration fee is $85.

Note: Registration fees do not count towards your fundraising total.

Is there a Fundraising Minimum?

Each participant is required to set a goal and meet the minimums listed below. Historically, the average raised by individuals is $1,000.

  • Ride for Food – minimum of $350
  • 5K Walk – minimum of $350

Participants who raise $1250 and above will be eligible to receive incentive gear. (Designs to be revealed over the summer.)

How old do I have to be to Participate?

Riders at the Ride for Food must be 14 years old (by the date of the Ride) or older.

Riders between the ages of 14 and 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

Do I Need to Sign a Waiver to Ride? Where Can I Find a Copy of the Waiver?

Riders between the ages of 14 (by the date of the Ride) and 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must submit a waiver signed by their parent or guardian. No rider under the age of 14 is allowed to ride. No exceptions.

How do I Submit an Offline Donation?

If someone is supporting your fundraising efforts and would prefer to write a check, please:

  • make sure the check is made out to Three Squares New England
  • make sure to include the names of the team and the person on whose behalf you are donating in the memo line on the bottom left hand corner of the check so we know where to credit the check.
  • send the check to Three Squares New England, P.O. Box 1055, Dedham, MA 02027 or forward the check to your team leader who will collect the checks from everyone and submit them to Three Squares New England.

Cash donations are not accepted. If someone gives you a cash donation, please submit a check to us in lieu of the cash donation.

We happily accept Donor Advised Funds and Corporate matches. Please be sure to list the names of the team and the person on whose behalf you are donating in the memo line.

How do I Qualify for a Bicycle Jersey or other Swag?

All participants who raise $1,250 are eligible to receive a unique bike jersey, designed by a young local artist. For the non-cyclists, we'll have a fun and fashionable alternative to the jersey.
