There is so much going into our first annual Ultimate Food Rescue Challenge we wanted to give you a run down of all the things you need know before the main event on August 18th at Les Zygomates. Below is a schedule for the evening along with a description of our fabulous participating chefs, incredible event sponsors, and the must-have items going up for auction. 

 

 

Event schedule

6:30  Event check-in, raffle tickets at the door

6:30-8:30 Food served at 7 stations / meet & greet with chefs 

8:30-8:45 Welcome message & introductions 

8:45-9:15 Live auction & raffle winner announced

11:00 – Event ends  

 

The goals of reducing food waste, full-utilization of ingredients, and serving healthy and delicious food is in every chef’s DNA. This event gives chefs the occasion to show off their culinary chops, allows guests to ‘dine and learn,’ and brings the community together in combating food insecurity. — Travis ‘Tbone’ Talbot

We’re so excited to have a dynamic group of chefs stepping up to take on this Food Rescue Challenge in a big way. During the event you will have the opportunity to mingle with participating chefs and converse over the dishes while discussing the challenges and opportunities of using rescued food:

  • Paul Bruno, local hospitality personality, community event planner

In addition to local chefs coming to the table, a number of Greater Boston vendors are also joining the cause to eliminate food insecurity in Massachusetts. These vendors include

A good meal is not the only thing that’s on the table for the evening; we also have an incredible selection of auction items for you to enjoy:

  • VIP tickets to the Bruce Springsteen show at Gillette stadium in September
  • Sunday River deluxe ski package for six, Loon Mountain any day lift passes
  • Red Sox ‘premium experience,’ Celtics tickets
  • Golf package from Sugarloaf Resort

All proceeds from this monumental event go to support our incredible network of non-profit partners. Together these organizations work year round to combat hunger and increase access to fresh, nutritious food for families here in Boston. Tickets can be purchased in advance, there will be limited tickets are available at the door.

Street parking will be limited but there are three garages nearby:
